Navarino Wildlife Area contains 15,000 acres of property that has been protected and is just waiting for you to explore it. Located about 25 miles northwest of Green Bay, this Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources area has a nature center and is open year round. On site, there are dozens of miles of trails that are kept and groomed throughout the winter, making them perfect for hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. If you’ve never tried any of those things, this is the perfect place to start. All winter long they host introduction classes that help you get out into nature and explore Wisconsin’s winter.
