The 50s-Themed Drive-In Hiding In Small Town Wisconsin

Offering a retro dining experience, Wayne’s Drive-In is a true blast from the past. The old-fashioned eatery is tucked away in the charming town of Cedarburg. And while it may take some effort to get to the drive-in, the mouthwatering fare and 50s-style atmosphere make the trek well worth it. Take a look:

This is Wayne’s Drive-In, where great grub is always served with a side of nostalgia.

The drive-in wasn’t opened until 1998, but it has an undeniable 50s vibe – complete with checkered floors and red vinyl booths and stools.

But the atmosphere is just the beginning of what Wayne’s has to offer. In addition to retro décor, the eatery is known for its tasty fare, which includes burgers, shakes, and other drive-in classics.

A customer favorite, the mouthwatering burgers are made with 100% Black Angus choice ground chuck.

Only adding to their appeal is the fact that the hamburgers are served on Sheboygan hard rolls.

But the great grub doesn’t end with the burgers. Each and every item on the menu is made using the highest quality products, so you (and your taste buds) are sure to be pleased.

Aside from a slew of tasty eats, the menu features a variety of sweet treats, like sundaes, ice cream cones, floats, and, of course, malts and shakes.

In addition to classic flavors, like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, the shakes and malts come in some not-so-classic flavors, such as pineapple and butterscotch.

All of the desserts – including the malts and shakes – are made using Cedarburg's own Cedar Crest Ice Cream, resulting in a savory treat you’ll definitely want to save room for.

Retro fun is always on the menu at Wayne’s; however, for a truly nostalgic experience consider visiting on a Thursday for Classic Cruise Night, which in addition to classic cars, includes lots of activities as well as roller skating car hops.

Wayne’s Drive-In is open seasonally April – November. The 2019 season ends November 17^th. Visit the drive-in daily 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. until Labor Day, at which point the hours change to 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. For more information, call (262) 375-9999.
