You can reach this magical gem with just a short hike, and the scene you’ll come across is as refreshing as it is beautiful. This natural area is well-worth a visit. The views here are unforgettable, and it’s a great place for scenic photos. Pewit’s Nest State Natural Area is open daily from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. Be sure to wear good walking or hiking shoes, as the trail can get muddy in spots, especially after rain. There are so many great places for swimming in Wisconsin. Some may be hidden, but others are much easier to find. Soo Lake is one of our favorites. It’s only 13 feet deep, so there’s not much boat traffic.
