Everyone In Wisconsin Remembers These 10 Things In School
I went into a store recently and ALREADY the Back to School displays have been set up. It brought me back to school days. Remember those days? There are certain things that I associate with school, and I think you will, too. Let’s take a trip down memory lane:
1. Original Jansport Backpacks
Half of the kids in my class had these Jansport backpacks. Some of them even had their initials sewn into the backpack--super cool. Others had patches like the one pictured here.
2. Trapper Keeper
Who didn't have all of their very important papers in one of these glorified binders?
3. Slap Bracelets
We would annoy teachers to no end by slapping these bracelets on our wrists, on a desk, etc.
4. Cursive writing sheets
When is the last time you had to write a Q in cursive?
5. Scholastic Book Fairs
When the book fair came to school, it was so awesome! If you had a little pocket money left over, you could buy a poster for your bedroom.
6. Library card catalog
Who doesn't remember having to do an assignment for school and consulting the library card catalog to locate a book?
7. Pencil sharpener
I vividly remember sharpening my pencils at the beginning of class with one of these bad boys.
8. Lisa Frank
Who didn't have one of these Lisa Frank folders? And if you were really cool, you had the roll of stickers.
9. Overhead projectors
Getting called up to write on the overhead projector was so cool!
Who didn't love recess? It was the favorite part of our day during all of childhood.
