There’s nothing like stepping through the doors of a neighborhood bakery. The smells alone are enough to visit! Here’s a little Wisconsin bakery that’s winning awards for its delicious kringle, and with five locations, just about anyone can get their kringle fix.

The Olesen Family opened their first bakery in 1949, using recipes from their Danish grandfather. In its fourth generation, this family-owned bakery continues to create some of the best pastries in Wisconsin.

The bakery proudly sources locally whenever possible. They use Door County cherries, Wisconsin cranberries, and Wisconsin cream cheese,
It takes three days to make a kringle.

Everything at O&H Danish Bakery is made completely from scratch, including the kringle. The pastry dough has 36 layers, and making it is a three-day process.
Now is the perfect time of year for the Harvest Kringle, made with fresh apples, cinnamon and bits of toffee.
