The Most-Photographed Lighthouse In Wisconsin Is On The Door Peninsula

Wisconsin is no stranger to lovely lighthouses. However, there’s one that seems to stand out above the rest – and it’s the Cana Island Lighthouse. And unlike many of the state’s lighthouses, the Cana Island Lighthouse is open to the public for tours. Take a look:

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

When operating under normal business hours, the Cana Island Lighthouse is open daily May 1st – October 31st, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, call (920) 743-5958. You can also visit the Door County Maritime Museum website or the Cana Island Lighthouse Facebook page.
