Here Are 10 More of the Safest And Most Peaceful Places To Live In Wisconsin
As I’ve stated before, Wisconsin is definitely the place to move if you want a safe and peaceful place for yourself and your family. We have already highlighted
ten great towns to move to, but we’re doing a Round 2 because just one article did not do the great towns justice. So here is the second round of great Wisconsin towns to move to if you’re looking for peace of mind:
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
Freedom is a small, rural town but is also one that's seen some fairly rapid growth over the last decade or so. But its residents don't take the name of the town as an excuse to act like crazy people. There is just no crime here. Statistically, there is the lowest crime amount in the ENTIRE state of Wisconsin.
Location, location, location. You're just 30 minutes from Milwaukee and 60 minutes from Chicago. But you get a safe community with all the charm Wisconsin is known for. The community is strong, with law enforcement working with the community to prevent crime.
3. De Pere
De Pere is a college town, and if you're looking for a safe place to send junior to college, you should take another look at De Pere. Everything is accessible through walking or biking. Kids can't get into a lot of trouble up here because there aren't bad people to get involved with. A great town.
Hartland is synonymous with business. They are constantly trying to push industry forward. At the same time, you don't have to drive far to find peace. You can have a great job with a short commute...and see this.
It's not called 'The Friendly City' for nothing, guys. You'll know your neighbors and love them. People gather together on the numerous sports fields and parks, and like to come together to celebrate the Historic Grignon Mansion.
DeForest is a great place to head whether you're a business or a family. If you're the latter, get ready to be active on the Upper Yahara Trail where you can canoe, bike, hike, birdwatch...
Reedsburg is a great place to raise healthy kids, who will learn about activity and nutrition in the curriculum. They'll be safe, too, with virtually no crime. And if that isn't a big enough selling point, you can enjoy Gigabit, which means you'll get the fastest internet in all of Wisconsin. Consider me jealous.
Waupun has taken resident safety seriously, being the recipient of numerous law enforcement grants. You should feel safe. In addition, there are tons of things to do, including several festivals throughout the year.
Caledonia has two personalities--one more urban, with a nice downtown and then the rural side where you can be pretty far away from your neighbor. But what's great about this is that, whether you choose the urban or rural life, you'll be plenty safe with the awesome law enforcement of Caledonia.
10. Sheboygan Falls
Sheboygan Falls is maybe the most charming town on this list. Many efforts have been made to preserve the history. But they also look toward the future, with efforts to bring tourism and business to the area. Through all this, residents report feeling safe as ever.
Which towns did we miss in Round 2? Let us know in the comments.
