9 Things You Must Know About Dating Someone From Milwaukee
So you’ve met someone from Milwaukee. There are a few things you need to known about dating someone from the Midwest. Here are nine essential truths about dating a Milwaukeean.

Many things in Milwaukee revolve around drinking. That's not to say that the person you're seeing has an alcohol problem, but your first date will probably include bar-hopping. If you really want to impress them, order them a local brew and watch their heart melt before your eyes. Just don't be upset when they drink you under the table.

If you're lactose intolerant, this relationship might get rocky. We're obsessed with cheese because we have the absolute best cheese in the world right here in Wisconsin. Your date will eat some cheesy goodness anywhere and with anything, and you can't stop them.

Dessert dates are the best dates, but don't offend your Milwaukee fling by offering ice cream. We eat custard here, and it will outshine any ice cream you've ever had.

During football season, you may notice that there's something different about the person you're dating. Suddenly, they're glued to the T.V. and wearing ridiculous Packers attire. They might even be wearing a foam cheese hat. Don't worry, that happens here. Just don't make plans on Sunday, because you'll find yourself cheering along with them in no time (and possibly also donning a cheesehead).

While your partner may not be an athlete, tailgating is a major event. If they invite you to a Brewers game, be sure to take the entire day off from work. You'll be eating burgers and drinking beer from sunrise to sunset—tailgating is the main event.

You can go sledding together, drink hot chocolate, and snuggle by the fire. A Milwaukee winter date is built for romance.

The only downside to our winters is that they can get a little extreme. You may have to dig your date out of the snow before you can go out.

Your plans should be timed according to construction, which is a year-round occurrence here. It's unavoidable. Expect to add a few extra minutes to account for the detours.

People from Milwaukee are unlike any other. They're the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. Stay with a Milwaukeean; they'll never let you down.
