If you need a break from life and want to step into an oasis of natural beauty, we’ve found the perfect place for you.
This secret park might be hidden, but once you find it the beauty expands throughout every acre. Not only is it now an incredible getaway from the busy city life, it's history is fascinating. Three Bridges Park used to be a rice marsh and then a rail yard. After that, it was a vacant for decades until it was transformed into the park we know and love today.
Three Bridges opened in the summer of 2013 and has been an oasis of rolling hills, wildflowers, and native grass ever since. It features an outdoor educational classroom, community gardens, and paths to ride or walk through.

Situated on 24 acres of land, this park is located next to the Menomonee River on Milwaukee's west side. The river is used for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. While you might be in the heart of the city, this little slice of greenery will make you feel far away from the bustle of it all.

Within the park are two miles of biking and walking paths, and three pedestrian bridges (hence the name), but it also connects to the Hank Aaron Trail. Many use this trail to bike through the city to get to nearby jobs or events, and it's even said that Hank Aaron used to play baseball on the Menomonee Valley's west side.
The Urban Ecology Center uses the park as an outdoor classroom for kids to learn about the environment, waterways, and so much more. Within the park is also an area filled with community gardens, so you can help keep this incredible park growing!
