10 Undeniable Habits That No Milwaukeean Can Ever Unlearn
People from Milwaukee are undeniably unlike any other. It’s arguable that we’re the best people around, and it’s becoming a known fact that MKE is one of the most underrated cities in the country. It’s not surprising that the unique people who have grown up here may have been taught a strange habit or two, but there are some habits we’ll simply never grow out of. Here are ten of the habits all Milwaukeeans are practically born with, and we don’t see it changing any time soon!

You can take the Milwaukeean out of Milwaukee, but they’ll probably just be camping and fishing up north.

Milwaukee is deemed the "City of Festivals" for a reason. Not only are we home to Summerfest, the world's largest music festival that (obviously) takes place in summer, we celebrate absolutely everything. You're not a real Milwaukeean if you're not outside nearly every waking hour in the summertime!

Fridays in Milwaukee are for fish frys. It's an entire community-wide event, and there will likely be polka music.

Sundays in Milwaukee are for hot ham and rolls! Go to your local bakery, because you better believe there's a special going on.

Being 'Brew City' and all, there's no doubt that us Milwaukeeans love our beer. For some reason, PBR is just a staple we naturally have on deck.

You can take a Midwesterner out of the Midwest, but you can't take away our Midwest manners. We'll be quick to say "please" and "thank you," and we'll likely apologize more than is ever necessary.

Honestly, that's just what it's called. A water fountain is a statue in a park.

Milwaukeeans have a habit of showing up to the game at sunrise just to start drinking. Sporting events are an entire-day affair. Don't worry, we'll bring the brats.

The odds that we'll still be wearing shorts is quite high.

The Polar Plunge is a Milwaukee tradition. Milwaukeeans gather every New Years to jump into a frozen Lake Michigan to raise money for the Special Olympics, often dressed in hilarious attire.
Hey, Milwaukeeans! What are some habits that weren’t on the list that you can’t unlearn because of your Milwaukee upbringing? We’d love to hear your ideas in the comments!
