Top 10 Wisconsin Memorial Day Getaways
Whether you’re located in Wisconsin or you’re from a neighboring state, Wisconsin is a fabulous place to visit for Memorial Day Weekend. Here are some of my must try suggestions for this upcoming Memorial Day:
1. Brewers & Vintners Tour
On May 23, come join a bus tour that will take you to the best wine and beer Wisconsin has to offer. Tickets are just $65 per person. Bus departs from Vintage Brewing Co.
2. Wisconsin Dells
There's no better way to officially kick off summer than to cruise through America's best water parks.
3. World's Largest Brat Fest
Head down to Madison for this delectable experience. If this picture of deliciousness can't convince you, nothing can.
4. Celebrate De Pere
De Pere is a town just outside of Green Bay. Come early and watch the memorial day parade. Attend "Celebrate De Pere" and finish the evening off by enjoying the fireworks.
5. Leinenkugel's Chippewa Valley Century Ride
On Memorial Day Sunday, bring out the whole family for an exciting bike ride of 35 miles up to 100 miles. Tickets include soda, beer, and brats.
6. Take a boat out
Bring your own boat, or rent one from places like Sauk City and Lake Geneva. Bring a lunch and your inner tube for some fun for the entire family.
7. Come see the Aquanuts perform some great tricks at Lance Park
The show is just the right price, FREE!
8. Memorial Day is about remembering our fallen soldiers
Come to Milwaukee for Memorial Day to truly understand what this day is all about. Start off with the Memorial Day Parade downtown, followed by a wreath laying ceremony, and brick dedication.
9. Beachside Oasis (Racine)
Yeah, this picture is from Wisconsin. Come down to the Beachside Oasis as they kick off the 2015 season on May 23. Take in great music in a real cool setting.
10. Come watch the Brewers at Miller Park (Monday, 1:10 PM)
It's one of the best places to enjoy America's favorite pastime.
So whether you’re visiting with your buddies or your kiddos; looking for something that’s easy on the wallet or looking for something completely unforgettable, Wisconsin is the place for you.
