If you’re someone who appreciates Wisconsin’s great outdoors, you’ve likely experienced or at least heard of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. This 1,200-mile trek winds through ancient ice-age formations, breathtaking landscapes, and some of the state’s most charming communities. During the month of October, the Ice Age Trail Alliance is hosting a free event that will showcase the best of the trail. The Mammoth Hike Challenge is an invitation to complete any 41 miles of the trail and experience at least three of the unique towns along the way.
