Home to a plethora of fantastic falls, Marinette County is billed as the Waterfall Capital of Wisconsin. The county is home to some of the state’s most famous waterfalls. It’s also home to a few falls that are a bit more obscure. That’s certainly the case with Horseshoe Falls. Though located in Marinette County, not many know of its existence, as it’s somewhat hidden and takes a bit of effort to reach. Take a look:

Well, what do you think? Are you ready to seek out this hidden gem? Take 12-Foot Falls Road south 7 miles to Forest Road 510. Then, travel about a ½-mile to the turnoff to the falls, which leads to a small parking area, where you’ll find a walking trail that leads to Horseshoe Falls.
