Everyone In Wisconsin Must Visit This Epic Waterfall As Soon As Possible

One thing you might not know about Wisconsin is that there are actually a lot of waterfalls. To me, waterfalls are probably the most fascinating, awe-inspiring parts of nature. So we’re pretty spoiled up here. I could easily recommend a number of falls to check out, but I would be remiss if I didn’t say to go visit Big Manitou Falls.

My reasoning? Well, it’s the highest waterfall in Wisconsin, with 165 feet of glory. But size isn’t everything. It is located in Pattison State Park, and there are some wonderful vantage points of this waterfall. It can be the greatest ever but if you can’t see it, it kind of defeats the purpose, right?

Big Manitou Falls was originally discovered by native Americans who thought that they were hearing the voice of the Great Spirit. Others caught on and eventually a park was built around the falls in 1920.

You might notice a slight brown tint to the water. That’s just all the minerals that are in the area.

Here are some pictures of Big Manitou Falls. Yes, you cannot do justice to a 165-foot waterfall so you really need to check it out for yourself.

During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
