This Epic Snow Tubing Hill In Wisconsin Will Give You The Winter Thrill Of A Lifetime
Winter has finally and officially set in and if you’re anything like me, once I get over the shock of winter temperatures, I’m ready to full on enjoy everything a Wisconsin winter has to offer. We Wisconsinites tend to embrace the cold and the snow and make the best of it while it’s here. That means getting out and enjoying our beautiful state and all the winter fun it has to offer.
One great, family-friendly way to enjoy the snow is tubing. There are a bunch of great tubing spots across the state, but Badlands Sno Park in Hudson is one of my favorites.
Badlands really is fun for the whole family, from little ones or beginners on up to the biggest daredevils. While other mountains might have tubing runs alonside snowboarders and skiiers, Badlands caters to snow tubing.
There are six different lighted runs here that start with the "bunny hill" and go up to "turbo tubing."
You cannot possibly get bored with the trails here and at just $17 a day, you will easily get your money's worth.
The most crucial part of any good tubing spot is getting you back to the top of the hill easily and without walking. Here they've got simple tow ropes and they'll make sure everyone is trained and comfortable with how to use them.
The area here is huge and wonderful and those six different runs give you so many different options for how to get down to the bottom.
This is the perfect spot for a big group and they welcome school groups throughout the season, as well.
Badlands make and groom their own snow to ensure the winter fun never stops despite the weather, and is open from mid-December to early March. They don't have a target date yet for this year, but are hard at work and hope to announce it shortly.
That means the mountain is always ready for you to come and exlore and enjoy it!
The folks here create gorgeous runs that will thrill you and totally make you want to keep coming back for more.
Badlands is fun for all ages, so plan to take a date, your family or a big group of friends to have the time of your life. You will not regret it.
When you're done tubing or just in need of a rest and refuel, there's a new chalet that's the perfect place to warm up and grab a snack. The hills are open Wednesday and Thursday from 4 pm - 8 pm, Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Badlands make and groom their own snow to ensure the winter fun never stops despite the weather, and is open from mid-December to early March.
Just writing about it makes me antsy to get on my snow gear and head out to Hudson for the perfect day enjoying the snow.
Don't forget your daredevil tendencies at home - Badlands has plenty of hills, jumps, twists and turns to keep you just a bit scared but having a whole lot of fun.
Badlands Sno Park is located at 772 Kinney Rd, Hudson, WI 54016.
