I had no idea that Wisconsin had caves–and especially these many–before I decided to research whether there were caves in Wisconsin. And I am so glad I did. The shots I included are absolutely awesome, and I cannot wait to take pictures of my own when I go explore them this summer! Spelunkers, rejoice!
1. Eagle Cave (Blue River) would require a climb, but it's really cool to look at even from this angle.
2. Cave Point (Door County) is known for its underwater caves.
3. This cavern is located in Iowa County, Wisconsin.
4. Cherney Maribel Caves County Park (Maribel) features some fabulous caves to explore.
5. If you are set on exploring caves, you will want to head over to Cave of the Mounds (Blue Mounds, WI).
6. This shot was taken at Kickapoo Indian Caverns (Wauzeka).
7. Wyalusing State Park (Bagley) is home to caves.
8. The Apostle Island sea caves are absolutely unreal in the winter.
9. This cave is located in Irvine Park (Chippewa Falls) and was once used to store beer!
10. Devil's Island Sea Caves (Baraboo) provides some absolutely fantastic views.
