It's Worth It To Drive Across Wisconsin Just For The Muffins At Jacobi’s

Tucked away in a forested corner of Wisconsin, a little bake shop is turning out some of the best bakery in the Northwoods. Jacobi’s 1922 is a former longtime restaurant that’s finding new fans as a little bakery and cafe. It serves up some awesome breakfast items, including muffins, as well as delicious soup, coffee drinks, and some dessert that’s to die for. Feeling hungry? Here’s what’s waiting for you at Jacobi’s.

You’ll find Jacobi’s in Hazelhurst, a charming and scenic town located in Oneida County, in the northern part of the state. The town calls itself, “the quiet side of the Northwoods.”

When you arrive in this town, you’ll see why – it’s home to gorgeous trails and glacial lakes, as well as one little bakery that has just what you need to fuel your outdoor adventures.

Jacobi’s is located in a building that was home to a popular to a fine dining establishment for five decades. While it was known for its delicious steaks and seafood and had a big following, the restaurant briefly closed.

The establishment had a sweet reopening. It’s new menu includes coffee drinks and some awesome breakfast favorites like muffins and danishes and well as fresh fruit parfaits.

There are also light lunch options like soups. The menu options vary, but include quiche and breakfast bakes. They offer incredible cheesecakes – I could not decide which flavor, so I left with two slices!

This little bakery delivers more than delicious baked goods. It’s a little oasis that’s the perfect place to relax – it even has a fireplace.

If you’re staying in the Hazelhurst or Minocqua area, this is a great place for a quick meal or a little caffeine to start the day. If you’re traveling on Highway 51 to another Northwoods destination, this is also an easy place to refuel for your drive or get some treats for the cabin – it’s just off the highway, so it’s a quick stop.
