This 180-Acre Fruit Farm In Wisconsin Is The Perfect Way To Spend An Afternoon

Looking for a way to spend some time outdoors and satisfy your craving for something deliciously sweet? Then you should consider paying a visit to Oakwood Fruit Farm. The charming farm features nearly 200 acres of orchards, apple trees, and vineyards, but that’s not all. There’s also a bakery, store, and packing facility, which you can tour. Take a look:

Nestled in the hills of beautiful Southwest Wisconsin, Oakwood Fruit Farm has been in the business of fruit for more than 100 years.

Open seasonally from mid-August until December, the 180-acre farm grows over 20 varieties of apples along with Concord grapes.

Farm visitors can explore the grounds or, for an extra sweet treat, can opt to pick their own grapes. Keep in mind, the apples are not available as u-pick.

Of course, you can always purchase already-picked apples - among other things - from the retail shop and bakery, which is located in the heart of the orchard.

The charming shop is stocked to the brim with apples, which are available in any quantity from a sample to a bushel.

While at the shop, you can also stock up on apple-related goodies, like apple cider, apple butter, and candied apples.

There are also lots of baked treats, like apple pie and the farm’s famous apple cider donuts.

The merchandise doesn’t end with apples, though. The shop also carries jams, jellies, maple syrup, honey, unique gifts, hand-woven baskets, and arts and crafts.

Offering more than shopping, the retail store also features an observation window, so you can get a behind the scenes look at the farm’s packing process.

A must-visit in the fall, the farm offers seasonal essentials, including a huge selection of carving pumpkins, mini pumpkins, gourds, and Indian corn.

Between the beautiful surroundings and abundance of tasty sweets and treats, Oakwood Fruit Farm is sure to become the apple of your eye.
