The downtown area is a vibrant spot for for specialty shops, clothing stores and art galleries, such as Studio 40, Cooper Gallery and Robert's Antique and Wine Shop. Be sure to visit the restaurants while there, too, such as Hill & Holler and Food & Friends.

The historic nature of the town goes back to the 18th century, but a more recent historical icon is a unique attraction, especially in 2018. Jim's Drive-In is one of the few operating drive-ins left in the country, and definitely worth visiting while you are in Lewisburg.

It is also a great town for annual events, such as the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival and the State Fair of West Virginia. Additionally, it is very close to Lost World Caverns, an incredible cave that offers guided tours and a natural history museum.

So even though this town is small, it does not mean that there aren't plenty of things to do there. It is definitely worth a visit the next time you are in eastern West Virginia.
