And what better way to run away for the day than by hopping in an inner tube for a lazy coast down the Greenbrier River?
We always say a day on the water is a day well spent!
You may also love the fact that a picturesque campground located right on the river will take care of all of the details of a tubing adventure you won't soon forget.
If you've rafted down a West Virginia river, yet never floated lazily down one on your own inner tube, then you're in for an unforgettable day of loafing in the sun.
Spend the night in one of the many campsites and then catch the campground's shuttle to the launch spot up the river.
Greenbrier River Campground is located at 4316 Highland Trail, Alderson, WV 24910. Tube float trips are $21.50 per person. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. (Children under the age of 7, or weighing less than 50 pounds and who are less than four feet in height are restricted from taking part in this activity.)
