These Places In West Virginia Will Bring Out Your Risky Side
Feeling saucy? Check out one of these amazing casinos and racetracks in our very own West Virginia. As I became an adult in West Virginia, I realized that this state doesn’t have much of a night life. Some of you may think the same thing. Well, look no further than here.
These casinos, racetracks, and amazing hotels are right here in the Mountain State.
1) The Casino Club at the Greenbrier opened on July 2, 2010 and is located in Greenbrier County, WV.
In 2013, the casino added horse racing! The hotel regulated the casino so that only guests of the resort may visit the casino.
Everything about this casino is so stunning to me!
The Casino Club at the Greenbrier is one of the classiest places that West Virginia has, by far!
Charles Town Races is one of the busiest thoroughbred tracks in the country!
In addition to the races and slots, the Hollywood casino has a 150-room hotel, The Inn at Charles Town. As of the last few years, the casino has added table games!
The Hollywood Casino also has over 3000 slot machines, which also means that the casino has 1,400 jobs for the surrounding cities!
Often referred to as the Dog Track, the Casino has table games, slot machines, greyhound racing, and off-track betting. There are also quite a few restaurants, which provide even more jobs for the surrounding communities. Pictured above is the relatively new 150-room hotel.
4) Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack, and Resort is a thoroughbred racetrack and casino outside of New Cumberland, WV, and originally opened on May 19, 1951.
Wheeling Island, originally Wheeling Downs, began greyhound racing in 1976.
I know that gambling is not for everyone, but you should seriously check out the greyhound races or the horse races. You will absolutely be blown away. The greyhound dogs are so fast, it is absolutely crazy!
If nothing else, you can also visit the amazing restaurants that these casinos have. They have delicious food.
