The southeastern edge of West Virginia is home to Moncove Lake State Park. It was established in 1990 on 250 acres of the Moncove Lake Wildlife Management Area. Today, the park has expanded to 896 acres, and sits on the shores of Moncove Lake, underneath a flyway of hawk migration.
