What can you do with $5? Not much these days, it seems…unless you find yourself in Inwood, West Virginia, in which case, $5 will buy you a whole day of fun! It will, that is, if you use it to buy a general admission ticket to Old McDonald’s Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze, which has enough awesome activities to keep you busy for hours.

Nestled in the historic farming community of Inwood in the Eastern Panhandle is a large farm that has become a fall tradition for many West Virginians: Old McDonald's Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze.

Good Housekeeping Magazine calls Old McDonald's Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze the best pumpkin patch in the state, and they're not wrong.

With a huge pumpkin patch, a five-acre corn maze, giant slides, a playground, corn hole, an antique tractor display, and more, this farm truly does have something for every age and interest.

Speaking of the corn maze, as we already mentioned, the one at Old McDonald's is huge: a full five acres.

There's a new maze pattern every year. Part of the fun is seeing what each year's theme is going to be!

You can tell just with this sampling from the past few years that the McDonald family puts a lot of love, sweat, and tears into their farm, and that they are West Virginians to the core.

Oh, and did we forget to mention the petting zoo? At Old McDonald's, not only can you get a pumpkin and not only can you tackle an amazing corn maze or giant slides or various games, but you can also get up close and personal with some adorable, friendly farm animals!

Also, if you have just a hair more than $5 to spend, you can even choose to tackle the Old McDonald corn maze after dark at their famous Night Maze events.

Old McDonald’s Pumpkin Patch is open most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in October and November. They do close the farm for rain, so call ahead or keep an eye on Facebook if wet weather is in the forecast. And yes, as we said at first, it’s all just $5/person (children 3 and under are free).
