Also, the 562-acre park encompasses almost 20 miles of hiking and biking trails spanning a range of difficulty (or energy) levels. The Lake Front Trail is an easy and picturesque loop that encircles the lake; beyond it, there are a variety of trails that wind through the forested ridges surrounding the lake.
Besides its many day uses, Little Beaver State Park includes a 46-site campground that is open during the summer months. The campground offers a range of tent and trailer options, a camp store, and a central bathhouse with laundry facilities.

The latest lodging option available at Little Beaver State Park is a "camping cabin" that features a bedroom and loft, living and dining areas, and several appliances (although no plumbing).
Little Beaver State Park also makes a great picnic lunch stop on a longer adventure through the New River Valley.
