The Lilly Family Reunion, The Largest Family Reunion In The World, Takes Place Each Year In West Virginia
If there is one thing that brings West Virginians together, it’s family. One family, the Lilly clan, has been getting together each and every year since 1929. And their annual family reunion gained the attention of the world in 2009 when the Guinness Book of World Records made it official: the Lilly family reunion is the largest in the world.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
Learn more about this awesome family get together from the official Lilly Family Facebook page, and get forthcoming details about the next reunion (you must be a Lilly or related to a Lilly to attend), from the official Lilly Reunion website here.
