Winter is a beautiful season in West Virginia, but it can also be a long, cold, dark one. And in long, cold, dark seasons, fun ways to get out and try something different become all the more precious…which is why we definitely recommend heading to Canaan Valley Resort to strap on some ice skates and take a loop or two around the rink, all the while enjoying some beautiful mountain views!

Tickets for a two hour skating session are $7 for adults and $5 for kids or seniors. Skates can be rented for $3 per pair, or you can bring your own. Skating season runs from mid-December to mid-March. Skating hours are 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays, weather permitting.
