This Huge Amish Market In West Virginia Is Too Good To Pass Up
The Mountain State doesn’t have what would be considered large Amish or Mennonite communities; however, you don’t need to be Amish to appreciate this large market in West Virginia that is brimming with Amish-made goodies. Established in 1970 as a produce market, Halfway Market (with locations in Milton and Hurricane) has grown into a market of specialties – including those of the Amish variety.
The store seen below is found in Milton at the far end of East Main Street. Outside, the entrance is usually overflowing with plants and garden items...
While you're at the market, stock up on fresh produce and fruits. You never know what you'll find since the inventory changes every single day (and with the season).
Handmade Amish furniture rounds out the amazing selection of Amish items you'll find at Halfway Market. Few things last quite as long as something handmade in Amish country!
Ready to check it out? Halfway Market has two locations: 1213 US-60 (a.k.a. E Main St), Milton, WV 25541 and 3717 Teays Valley Rd., Hurricane, WV 25526. It’s open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Learn more at this link.
