I’m sure that we have all had many failed first kiss attempts or awful first dates. Well, this list is here to make things easier on you! Do you have a date coming up? Are you wondering where to take your love interest? These 15 magnificent destinations in West Virginia would make for a perfect back-drop for the best first kiss! So look no further!
1) Watoga State Park is in Pocahontas County, WV.
This serene view would make for a romantic walk or dip in the Watoga Lake.
2) The Cass Scenic Railroad is a West Virginia State Park in Pocahontas County.
The view would be constantly changing, so it would be endless amounts of beauty on this railroad. This would be a great destination for a first date.
3) Spruce Knob is in Pendleton County, WV.
Spruce Knob is the highest point in the state of West Virginia. This sunset would be an unforgettable back drop to a great first kiss.
4) Sandstone Falls is located in Summers County, WV.
To me, nothing is more beautiful or calming than a waterfall. And this waterfall is magnificent! Just imagine seeing the sunset at Sandstone Falls and leaning in to kiss your lover.
5) The Pumpkin House in Kenova, WV.
The Pumpkin House has over 3000 hand-carved pumpkins every year. Wouldn't it be just romantic to steal that first kiss while looking at all of the beautiful pumpkins at night?

I know that I would LOVE to go on a date to any one of these beautiful 15 places in West Virginia! Our state may not have a reputation for being a perfect place for a romantic getaway, *cough cough* the Wrong Turn movies, but I’m here to tell you that all of that is wrong. West Virginia does have the capability of being quite stunning and amazing, and the perfect setting for an unforgettable first date, first kiss, or a just-because date!
