The most iconic thing that Fayetteville is known for is the New River Gorge Bridge. This bridge brings in visitors from all over the country, especially those that love white water rafting. Completed in 1976, it is the world’s longest arch bridge. Many outdoor-loving visitors enjoy rafting the river that runs under the famous bridge, and many of the annual activities include it.
