While you can see colorful trees literally anywhere in West Virginia, here are a few suggestions for particularly stunning displays of autumn foliage.
September is past now, but you'll still be able to see some beautiful colors in the higher elevations at places like Blackwater Falls State Park.
You'll find beautiful leaves right now in the Northern Panhandle at places like Tomlinson Run State Park.
The colors are also peaking right now around Elkins, making this the perfect time to take a scenic railroad trip.
Central West Virginia sees the best color right in the middle of October. You can have an especially beautiful view at Babcock State Park.
The southern part of the state will explode in color in late October. This stunning view can be seen at Pipestem Resort State Park.
Late October is also when the colors peak in the eastern panhandle, making it the perfect time to hike in Cacapon State Park.
