Celebrate The Solar Eclipse At These 10 West Virginia State Parks

By now you’ve almost certainly heard of the Great American Eclipse of 2017. We’ll be able to see up to 90 percent of the sun obscured by the moon’s shadow in West Virginia. Various locations are holding celebrations throughout the state, including some of our state parks! You don’t need an excuse to visit one of West Virginia’s beautiful state parks on any day of the year, but a special event like the eclipse makes it even more fun! Here’s what you’ll find at the parks.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
