As the name implies, The Cupcakerie is very specific type of bakery. When it comes to mastering the art of the cupcake, this bakery has the market cornered.
The bakery was born when friends Anna McCarty Carrier and Janet Nelson Williams decided to turn their mutual love of baking into a business. So, in 2011, The Cupcakerie was born.
The shop offers a wide variety of cupcakes to purchase in-store that can be decorated in any number of ways. They also take specific requests for catering events, including weddings, baby showers, birthdays, retirement parties, graduations, Christmas parties, so on and so forth.
They can cater to large parties or weddings, usually displayed on a multi-layered display platform, taking the visual aesthetic of a multi-layered cake and applying it to cupcakes.
These designs, which are paired with the finest ingredients, have not gone unnoticed - Anna (right) and Janet (left) have been awarded "Best of Morgantown" five consecutive times by Morgantown Magazine for the tasty treats that the Cupcakerie serves. Anna has also been selected as a mover and shaker of Thirty Under Thirty by the magazine.
All these cupcakes come in nine different collections, each with multiple flavors and designs. And for a $10 fee, they will deliver orders to anywhere in Morgantown.
