12 Things Only Those From Washington Know To Be True

If you live in Washington, there are certain things you may be aware of that people from other places don’t always understand or appreciate. For example, here are 12 undeniable truths that nearly everyone in our state can agree with:

1. You know that the Western and Eastern side of our state are complete opposites and have totally different climates.

2. There's no need to dig out your long lost sunglasses, cause you can always just buy a new (and cooler) pair next year.

3. Time spent hiking is time well spent!

4. You know that Puyallup is pronounced "Pyoo-AL-up", Sequim "Skwim" and Issaquah "ISS-a-kwah".

5. Some of the most charm can be found in our smaller towns around the state and not just the big city!

6. Umbrellas are completely unnecessary. Just put your hood up and you'll be good to go!

7. You can always count on scoring a great deal at one of our local thrift shops, yard sales or flea markets.

8. Bikes are one of the best modes of transportation ever invented.

9. Going camping pretty much ALWAYS guarantees a good time.

10. There’s nothing quite like the delicious taste of a Walla Walla Sweet Onion!

11. Washington beer and wine is the best kind of beer and wine...and that's a fact.

12. We live in a stunningly beautiful state and life just wouldn't be the same anywhere else!
