Whether you reside in the Pacific Northwest or you’re thinking of moving out here anytime soon, you’ll discover that there are certain things that are nearly essential to survive in this great state. For example, here are 10 specific things that you’ll want to have:

There are some dangerous motorists out there on the road, so knowing what you're doing behind the wheel is crucial.

When you're out on a quest and aren't able to connect to Google Maps on your phone, it's time to break out the old-school methods on how to figure out which direction you're going.

If you buy a $4 cup of espresso every morning, your money will dwindle away in no time. Save funds and make a fresh pot for yourself at home!

Whether or not you're into football, you have to at least appreciate the passionate devotion our state has for our team!

Campers and hikers know exactly what I'm talking about. Mosquito bites are no joke!

If you don't have a stance on things, there are plenty of opinionated people in our state who will be happy to persuade you their way. Regardless of what you believe, it's helpful to have your own view on the world and current issues.

It may not be pouring all the time like everyone may think, but when we do see precipitation, it is nice to have a hood that we can pull over our heads. And if you're in Eastern Washington, having a good pair of shorts for the desert sunny weather is also handy to have in your wardrobe!

Our state is one of the highest when it comes to depression. Trying to keep a great attitude is always a good idea! Besides, how could you not smile when you're surrounded by such incredible beauty everywhere we go?

If you love the outdoors, you'll never die from boredom because we have endless Evergreen places to explore. By the way - have you been on any of these Hiking Trails?
