You’ll Want To Plan A Day Trip To Washington’s Magical Butterfly House

It’s been referred to as Washington’s tropical winter respite, probably because it’s always 80 degrees inside. The Tropical Butterfly House is a beloved part of the Pacific Science Center in Seattle, and it’s a beautiful way to warm up on a chilly day.

There are 4,000 feet of free-flying butterflies here... hundreds of them.

As you can imagine, it's basically heaven on Earth.
The butterflies are obviously the highlight, but the exhibit is also full of some pretty impressive plants.

You'll find the trees that give us coffee, cocoa and cinnamon, not to mention the plants that supply the butterflies with nectar.
Technically, you're not allowed to touch the butterflies... but some of them are friendly enough to land on you.
