The Small Town In Washington Boasting World-Famous Pie Is The Sweetest Day Trip Destination
Whidbey Island is such a dreamy destination. If you’re close enough to reach the island in a few hours, it makes a wonderful day trip spot. And while the town of Greenbank is extremely small, even by Whidbey’s standards, it’s definitely a place you’ll want to go. That’s where you’ll find Whidbey Pies, home to the most addicting desserts on the planet (or at least in the PNW).

About 1,600 Washingtonians call Greenbank home, with many more visitors passing through each year.

Greenbank Farm, once the largest loganberry farm in the country, is now a collection of shops and a local cafe.

While pie isn't the only reason people visit Greenbank Farm, it tends to be the stop they're most excited about.

When Jan retired, she sold the business to her son, Joe. Joe and Jessie Gunn now own and operate Whidbey Pies, and they love it as much as Jan. All of the pies are made by hand with the best and most local ingredients possible.

The Loganberry is a hybrid of the North American blackberry and the European raspberry. And it makes an outstanding pie.

Enjoy pie by the slice or take a whole pie to-go. But whatever you do, eat it a la mode.
Have you ever savored a slice from Whidbey Pies?
