Explore Miles Of Unparalleled Views Of Mount Rainier On The Skyline Trail In Washington
Washington has some of the best hiking trails in the country. No matter which part of the state you call home, you’re never far from a beautiful nature trail. That being said, it’s hard to find hikes that compare with the adventures at Mount Rainier National Park. There’s just something about those breathtaking mountain views that inspire us to hike just a little farther. If you have yet to experience the scenery on the Skyline Trail, make this the year you go.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

But don't let that deter you. As long as you avoid going on a weekend in the middle of summer, you'll enjoy plenty of peace and quiet. The trail itself is wider than average trails, so you'll have plenty of space.

If you come during wildflower season, you'll find plenty along the way.

While it's a well-marked trail that can be easily followed, if you're a complete novice, you might want to go with someone who isn't.

They're looming around practically every corner, and they're truly magnificent.

This part of the state is gorgeous in any season, but the snow can be a bit too treacherous to hike in the dead of winter.

Between the alpine meadows, cascading waterfalls, and the looming mountain to distract you, you'll cover those six miles in no time.

You can also purchase an annual pass for $55 and hike to your heart's content.
