This Laid Back Washington Camping Resort Will Be Your New Favorite Summer Destination
While the vast majority of Washingtonians love the great outdoors, our opinions definitely vary on camping. If you have a family or circle of friends with mixed opinions, a great compromise is a camping resort. Washington has plenty, and each one has their own appeal — but the Silver Beach Resort has just made some exciting new upgrades, and it’s now better than ever.
The Silver Beach Resort is located at 3323 Waitts Lake Road near the small town of Valley in northeastern Washington.
It's located on the banks of Waitts Lake (there is also a Silver Beach Resort near Naches on Rimrock Lake).
If your idea of camping is renting a cozy cabin, you're in luck -- there are six onsite here.
The cabins all sleep between four and six people, and weekly discounted rates are available.
If you have an RV, you can reserve one of the 51 shady RV sites.
Rates start at $45 per night, and that includes full hookups.
All summer long, you'll see people fishing, boating, swimming, and enjoying water sports in the beautiful Waitts Lake.
Rainbow trout, brown trout, yellow perch and largemouth bass are the most commonly caught fish here.
The onsite seasonal restaurant, Nick's, has just reopened as the Silver Beach Bar & Grill.
The owners of Nick's retired last year, but the new menu and ambiance are very similar.
The Silver Beach Bar & Grill serves dinner from Thursday - Sunday from 5-9 p.m.
The mouthwatering steaks, seafood and burgers are fantastic.
It's not often you can go on a camping trip and still enjoy fine dining on a lakeside patio.
Unpretentious and relaxing, the Silver Beach Resort makes a great summer destination...
... especially on the 4th of July.
Silver Beach Resort is one of many great camping resorts in Washington. But if you’re looking for a more last-minute getaway you can take this weekend, check out one of these spots.
