One of the approximately 10 million things to love about Washington is its diverse beauty. From majestic mountains to sprawling plains and stunning beaches, you’ll find it all in the Evergreen State. And since nothing makes you appreciate the beauty of nature quite like a relaxing hike, the Washingtonians who hit the trails are the ones who seem the happiest here.
But if you only have one time for one really good hike this summer, do yourself a favor and check out Ebey’s Landing. You’ll be reminded of why we live in the best state in the country.
The Ebey's Landing Trail is located on Whidbey Island near the charming seaport town of Coupeville.
You can access the trail in one of two ways: From the Prairie Overlook trailhead across the road from Sunnyside Cemetery, or from the seaside parking lot at the end of Ebey’s Landing Road, which is slightly shorter.
The trail is between 4 and 5 miles long, depending on which route you take... and it's all green and serene.
It's so scenic, you might actually forget you're exercising.
Have you ever been to Ebey’s Landing? If you can’t make it to Whidbey Island this summer, these local low-key hikes also happen to have amazing payoffs.
