You’re Guaranteed To Love A Trip To This Epic Cheese Farm In Washington
Who doesn’t love cheese? No one, that’s who (even vegans have their own variety). Washington has a great selection of delicious local cheese, and if you’re ever in Skagit County, you can get it straight from the farm.
Samish Bay Cheese is located on Bow Hill Road in the small town of Bow.
It’s part of the Bow-Edison Food Trail, a route lined with farms, restaurants and artisanal shops.
The cows on the farm produce all the milk used to make their dairy products.
The owners and operators, Suzanne and Roger, make cheese, yogurt and kefir. Samish Bay Cheese is certified organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
Want to learn more about the cheese-making process?
The tasting room and retail shop are open 7 days a week from 10-4 (12-4 on Sundays). You can taste all the delicious cheeses while you shop.
Their products are also available at Farmers Markets all over Western Washington…
… but we highly recommend going right to the source.
Not only will you find the world’s freshest cheese, but farm and the surrounding scenery are absolutely beautiful.
And for those guests who just can’t bear to leave, there’s a turn of the century farmhouse adjacent to the property available for rent.
Imagine being greeted with a welcome basket filled with local foods and Samish Bay cheeses, only to enjoy the most peaceful night of rest you’ve had in years.
You’ll love visiting Samish Bay Cheese, especially if you make it part of a weekend of
exploring the entire food trail.
