This One Of A Kind Restaurant In Washington Is Fun For The Whole Family
Whether you’re old enough to vividly remember 1950s diners or you’ve only seen them in pictures and movies, there’s something about walking into an old school eatery that conjures up a sense of nostalgia. And that’s just what the duo behind Shake Shake Shake in Tacoma were going for–a blast from the past.
Shake Shake Shake is the result of the dream of brothers Gordon and Steven Naccarato.
Gordon and Steven wanted to build a timeless burger joint with diner food kids and adults have both loved for decades.
The interior was designed by Tacoma gallery owner and artist Robert Stocker, which is why it looks so striking and amazing inside.
The restaurant looks retro, but it definitely has modern touches.
The menu here is simple but includes all the best comfort foods: Burgers, fries, hot dogs, onion rings and tater tots.
The burger list is small, but you can customize yours or create your own using their long list of toppings.
The main focus here, though, is on the milkshakes.
The shake list takes up more than half the menu.
Deciding on a shake flavor here is nearly impossible.
They have all the classics, plus deluxe flavors like miso butterscotch, strawberry shortcake, and Nutella. They even have boozy shakes.
Shake Shake Shake has daily specials, both for children and the adults who accompany them.
Students who show a valid ASB card on weekdays from 2-5 PM get discounted food and shakes, while grown ups can enjoy a daily happy hour from 2-6.
Shake Shake Shake is located at 124 N Tacoma Ave., and as luck would have it, they're open every day.
When was the last time you enjoyed a good old-fashioned burger and a handmade shake in a classic setting like this?
Have you ever been to Shake Shake Shake? Perhaps it deserves a spot on
this tasty burger list.
