Washington has its share of high end hotels and resorts. But while spending a long weekend surrounded by lavish luxury would be lovely, it’s not exactly feasible for many of us, at least on a regular basis. Luckily, it’s also not necessary — we found a few creative vacation rentals that, while not cheap, do offer the ultimate getaway without draining your life savings.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. 1. Sky Haus, an
If you enjoy spending time in nature while enjoying all the comforts of home, look no further. This cozy cabin is located minutes from the slopes and some of the PNW's best hikes, and you can enjoy a nice, long soak in the hot tub when you're done exploring. The cabin features a bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, WiFi, and plenty of other amenities, and it rents for $180 - $275 per night, depending on when you go.

Waterfront accommodations are often expensive, but you can rent this entire cottage on the Salish Sea for as little as $99 nightly. While the space is small (and lacks a full kitchen), it has everything a hotel room would. This is the perfect romantic retreat or solo getaway spot.
3. This gorgeous

This house sits on 23 acres of peace and quiet. And even though it's close to some of Walla Walla's finest tasting rooms, you may have a hard time leaving the property. It has 2 bedrooms, a chef's kitchen, a jacuzzi tub that overlooks the hills, and an outdoor dining area. The $225 nightly fee can be split between up to 4 people.
4. Catch a sunset from your lakeside pool at this delightful
Thanks to the sofa bed, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo can sleep 8 people comfortably. And with lake views from practically every room, you won't believe it rents for a mere $175 (more in the summertime).
5. Sleep in luxury right on the
This extraordinary 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom home sits directly on the water and comes equipped with everything you can imagine: A master suite, an extra sofa bed, a full kitchen, a bathtub with water views, and this hot tub you won't want to leave. Rates vary, but $205 seems to be the average -- and it's well worth it.
6. This former 1920s grocery store turned chateau in
Spacious, unique, and a little eclectic, this grocery-store-turned loft is absolutely amazing. From the old school record player to the modern and luxurious bathroom (not to mention the cozy bedroom and the chef's kitchen), there's not an inch of this space you won't want to explore. And for $128 a night, you can spend several days doing just that.
7. This truly remarkable

Get a taste of the (really, really) good life while being surrounded by nature at this visually stunning home. With sweeping views of the Sun Mountains and the Methow Valley, plenty of modern amenities, 2 bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and a unique loft-style bed 8 feet above the ground, you'll be tempted to extend your stay. And at $237 per night, you can, especially if you split the cost with a few friends.
8. This sprawling estate overlooking the
This Yakima abode truly has it all: Views for days, 3 bedrooms (and 6 beds), a fireplace, an elevator, and an indoor pool. White Pass Ski Resort is only an hour away, and you'll be close to some fantastic wineries. Believe it or not, up to 8 people can stay here for $200 a night.

Hotel stays certainly have their time and place, but sometimes it’s nice to rent more
unique accommodations while you’re exploring our beautiful state.
