Here in Washington, natural wonders aren’t exactly rare. It’s almost too easy to take for granted all of the stunning landmarks that you’ll find throughout the Evergreen State. Nevertheless, some of them have stood the test of time in their beauty, grandeur, and ability to inspire inspiration. If we had to single out just one of these breathtaking wonders, it would have to be North Cascades National Park. It’s not exactly a hidden gem, but it is absolutely worth visiting if you haven’t yet made the trip. Exploring the park, you won't help but notice the striking geological features, which are characterized by jagged mountain peaks, tumbling waterfalls, and nearly 300 glaciers.
In fact, North Cascades National Park has more glaciers than any national park outside of Alaska.
The national park was officially established in 1968 in an effort to preserve the rare snowfields, alpine meadows, and other gorgeous natural scenery common to the North Cascades Mountain Range.
Wondering what some of the best things to see in North Cascades National Park are? Some of the park's most popular attractions include Lake Chelan, Mt. Baker, Diablo Lake, and Mount Shuksan.
