Spend The Night In A Haunted Schoolhouse In Washington (If You Dare)
Washington is home to some extraordinary vacation rentals, including some that are quite unique. But we have yet to see anything that compares to the Rainier Schoolhouse, an old elementary school in a tiny fishing village that has been converted into a one-of-a-kind place to stay. This place is fantastic for groups — but before you book, make sure everyone in your crew is ok with ghosts. Rumor has it that the schoolhouse has a friendly resident spirit.

Mineral Elementary School operated until the early 2000s when the declining student population forced it to close.

That being said, when you rent this unique space, you'll probably want to spend most of your time in "school."

Unfortunately, it was destroyed by a fire and had to be rebuilt in 1947.

These days, it serves as a private rental and a quirky artists' space.

There are also two bathrooms and a full kitchen, so you'll have everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Legend has it that the spirit of a little girl remains here. She isn't unpleasant, but she's feisty and likes to hide people's keys and startle them with strange noises.

And as of now, it's available on Halloween.
