Dogs and beer are two of our most universally loved treasures here in Washington. And luckily, at least one of our taprooms has had the good sense to combine them in answer to the question (which we admit not too many people probably ask), “Where can I go to play with puppies?” Ales and Tails is a taproom, an indoor dog park, and a doggy daycare service all in one—and it’s just as fun (and adorable) as you can imagine.

You can visit even if you don't have a dog yourself, but you'll have to come without your small humans—this place is for those 21 and over only (except for the dogs, of course).
The interior is casual and welcoming, with a separate beer bar area and play area.

Ok, so let's get to the puppies and pints part! If you bring your four-legged friend with you, you'll have to register them and pay a daily or a monthly fee. This is to help cover the cost of the play area as well as the staff who's there to help take care of the pups.
While the taproom here is fantastic, the vast majority of the patrons come for the dogs.

If you have a pup with separation anxiety or a large amount of energy, this is the perfect place for you both to hang out. Tales and Ales is not a pick-up place, but who knows...you just might meet someone to ask on a date!
In fact, you don't even have to stick around for your dog to spend time here—that's what the doggy daycare is for.

You can leave your dog here for a half day or a full day (short road trip anyone?) and know that they'll be well taken care of. They can play the day away, nap, and even enjoy some grooming if you decide to request it.
Ales and Tails is heaven on Earth for both dog lovers and beer lovers.
