You’ll Never Forget A Trip To The Most Enchanting Town In All Of Washington
sung its praises, listed some of its top restaurants, and featured some of its most charming shops. But our love for our Bavarian village, Leavenworth, knows no bounds, and we will continue to recommend it to every Washingtonian. Leavenworth is our most enchanting town, and you’ll never forget your visit — especially this time of year.
Leavenworth is absolutely beautiful in any season.
This is one of the few places in our state where there's really no "best" time to visit — there's always a fun festival or event happening.
But during the winter, our already magical village becomes positively enchanting.
No expense is spared in draping the downtown area with decor and twinkling lights.
Strolling through Leavenworth's streets during the holiday season feels totally surreal.
The roads to reach it can be treacherous during the winter, but they're worth braving.
Weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas are reserved for Leavenworth's annual tree lighting ceremony, complete with visits from Santa.
But if you'd rather skip the worst of the crowds, you can go during the week, when the lights are still on and the shops are all open.
Visit Kris Kringle, the magical shop where it's Christmas all year long...
...and treat yourself to some goodies from the Gingerbread Factory.
This cute little shop stays busy this time of year, but the staff is always happy to serve you with a smile.
The Nutcracker Museum offers a unique collection of nutcrackers from around the world.
You can visit all year, but it's especially fun during the holiday season.
Hotel rooms fill up fast in Leavenworth this time of year, but you can always make a day trip or spend the night in Wenatchee.
You can also start planning now for a magical holiday visit next year.
It’s easy to see why we love Leavenworth so much. But if you can’t make it this year, perhaps you can visit one of
Washington’s other Christmas towns.
