There Are Giant Gnomes Hiding On The Enchanted Forest Trail In Washington Just Like Something Out Of A Storybook
Did you know there’s a (very) small part of Washington that can only be accessed through the Canadian border or by small plane or private boat? Point Roberts was born when the U.S. and Canada cut off a small end of the Tsawwassen Peninsula while they were deciding on their borders. This left a small piece of land that belongs to us, although it isn’t exactly easy to reach.
But we’ll give you one great reason to visit Point Roberts: the Enchanted Forest Trail. If you have children, or if you’re a kid at heart yourself, this is a place you’ll want to explore.

Located just south of Vancouver BC’s metro area, this small community of about 1,100 people stays quiet and peaceful.

Just park in the Baker Field parking lot off of Benson Road, follow the road to the far end of the field, and veer left. Then, just follow the signs.

The hike itself is quite short, but there's a lot to see.

There's even an interactive tree.

They aren't all hiding in the trees. Some are snoozing in plain sight.

And even though Point Roberts isn't easy to reach, the journey is part of the fun. By the time you arrive, you'll feel like you're in another world—especially if you find this trail.

The scenery in this area is truly stunning, so once you've found your last gnome, make sure to take some time to explore.
