While many of Washington’s finest trails are still covered in snow, it won’t be long before vibrant wildflowers line our hills and alpine meadows. But if you’re heading to Mount Rainier National Park this summer and you love wildflowers, there’s one trail you definitely won’t want to miss out on… and it’s a nice, easy hike.

The Naches Peak Loop Trail is on Chinook Pass near Enumclaw.

The loop is about 3.5 miles total, and it's considered an easy hike.
You'll walk along a hillside above a small valley, pausing at a viewpoint overlooking a lake.

And it's quite a viewpoint.
You'll then walk through grassy meadows with stunning views and, starting in June, hundreds of colorful wildflowers.

To get the best views of Mount Rainier, you'll want to hike the loop in a clockwise direction. Also, pay close attention in late summer and early fall -- you just might find some delicious wild huckleberries.

This is definitely one of the best wildflower trails in Washington, but it’s far from your only option. Here’s another one at Mount Rainier National Park.
