Everyone Goes Nuts For The Hamburgers At This Nostalgic Eatery In Washington
There’s something irresistible about a meal from a good old-fashioned burger stand. For many of us, they’re synonymous with childhood or youth, flooding our tastebuds with nostalgia. We’re lucky enough to have plenty of these old school casual eateries in Washington, but none is quite as famous as Dick’s.
Whether you love or hate these little fast food burgers, they’ve certainly left their mark on our local history.

29-year-old Dick Spady and his two business partners had one goal: to serve fresh, high quality food at low prices with instant service.

Dick's was an instant hit. A second location was built on Capitol Hill in 1955, followed by Holman Road in 1960, Lake City in 1963, and Queen Anne in 1974.

The burgers are made quickly and efficiently, cutting down on wait time.

This is 1.4 lb. of ground beef topped with cheese, lettuce, mayo and chopped pickle.

It is worth noting that there is a Dick's Hamburgers in Spokane, and while it is operated in much the same manner, it has a different owner.
There’s nothing like sinking your teeth into a Dick’s Deluxe after a night out in Seattle. For a list of other nostalgic eateries in Washington, check out this list.
