The Chihuly Garden And Glass Museum In Washington Is Downright Otherworldly
Dale Chihuly is an internationally known glass sculptor whose work you”ll find in galleries, hotel lobbies like The Bellagio in Las Vegas, and all kinds of exhibits. Fortunately for us, he happens to be from right here in Washington (Tacoma, to be exact). And while you’ll find gorgeous Chihuly glass all over the state, nothing quite compares to the amazing Chihuly Garden and Glass display in Seattle, Washington.

The glass museum opened in 2012, and it has been delighting locals and tourists ever since.

He eventually enrolled in the first glass program in the country, at the University of Wisconsin. He even got to spend some time studying at the Venini glass factory in Venice.

He even has two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Pictures can never do this place justice.

The 40-foot tall glass and steel structure really steals the spotlight. When current conditions allow, the Glasshouse is often reserved for group yoga classes, wedding receptions, and private events.

While Chihuly has shown his artwork in botanical gardens all over the world, this was the first time he ever worked with a landscape designer to create such a unique space.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $19 for youth, and free for children four and under. This place is well-worth the price of admission.
Have you ever experienced Chihuly Garden and Glass in Washington? Isn’t it simply perfect?
